I was born under unusual circumstances....

we always buy beauty products to keep us looking youthful all the time & often in our quiet moment, pray to look youthful forever. How many times have we secretly wish to look younger than everyone else of the same age?

Last week, we caught the movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and was totally blown away by the cinematography of the movie. The movie got us enthralled and despite it being a 166 minutes movie, we were all hanging on to our seats, wanting to know what's next..who he'll meet & all.

The overall story line is great & so are the actors. But on a personal note, i prefer Cate Blanchett' s acting better. I tot her portrayal as Daisy was divine...she totally absorb her character & you can vividly see her performance as she ages in the movie. Brad? Dashing as usual.

An unique storyline. It portrays how 2 persons met in a point in life when timing is everything & shows the reality of life as it is. The storyline is way too captivating. 166 minutes is never too long to tell a person’s story, from cradle to grave. Make-up was excellent! Very intricate, very organized. Superb details & special effects. Watch it with an open heart and you will get unexpected rewards.

    Its Still Fresh~

many days past, and my roses are still as fresh as the first day i got them..what's the secret?
    simple!
    put them in the fridge...
sprinkle some water on it & leave them in the fridge
repeat it at least 2 times a day.
But of coz it wont stay fresh forever...
By doing this, you'll be able to keep them fresh for at least 3-4 days.(if not 5)
I don't suppose you want ur beautiful bouquet to turn weed the next day, yah?

I always have the habit of keeping my flowers (given by others) fresh for a good 4-5 days..
so that i can appreciate it & feel the love
coz' they actually made that effort to either order or go down to the florist to pick your favourite flowers.. ;)

    I'm Yours....

    Ding Dong..Ding Dong...(No reply!!)
Hello(trying to clear my bad throat, sounding extremely hoarsely from the dry throat), who's this?
Hello..is this Mr Wee? Mr Wee, i went up to ur gf's place but there was no one there (after many attempts of ringing the door bell). Can you please call her to check if she's awake?
Me: Huh? you mean u're outside already? Okay okay..i'm walking over to the door now.
Gal: Oh! she's awake? ok..i'll send the flowers up now, can i double check the address.
Me: (walking towards the door) where are you now? I'm at the door already.
Gal: huh? her address is ############## rite? i'm going up her place now..thanks Mr Wee!
Me: (Looking clueless at the opened door, trying to look awake)
Gal: came & delivered a bouquet of red roses. Happy Valentine's Day!

    Tadah~
what a surprise! And oh...the delivery lady was extremely confuse of who she's talking to. She actually mistook me for sweetie?! Gosh..blame it on the horrible dry throat la..made me sound like a man.

Its not exactly the typical big fat bouquet of roses but i'm contented. Sweetie say this is the best he can find on such short notice. I love the color combi..uber romantic colours!

was rushing off to sweetie's place but i took some snapshot to show him how the flowers look & of coz i camwhore a'lil..

    but

pls pardon my nude look..i know its ugly! My dark eye rings are really scary, yah? i slept at 6am in the morning trying to put together things..who could blame me..=P

i stole sweetie's phone & pasted the sticker i bought to make his vday card. Look how gold complement his & my phone so well..hurhur!

i did it for my gals too yesterday. Wanted to get them the same heart shape cookies i bought from breadtalk the other day but they ran outta it.

I love this year's Vday! Sweetie pour in all his effort into planning a perfect Vday date for us.

We had dinner at Jumbo (Dempsey Hill). We had seafood for Vday! Not ur average Vday dinner choice but we love seafood. He had this idea of eating our hearts out rather than acting all poise in a French restaurant.

Its a lovely place...romantic as it is set at a green & dim environment. The only light source we had was this candle on our table. Perfect for the hopeless romantic couples...really!

sweetie looking dashing as always in the shirt i bought for him..

and i love my backdrop in this pic..know what i mean by 'set in a green environment', yah?

food was yummylicious delicious..no doubt about it! We had altogether 5 dishes & a dessert each.

i must say the crab is really fresh & succulent and the deer meet is awfully tender..

in fact i think every dish taste fantastic

sweetie in the apron that spared us from getting clumsy gravy stain gushing out from the crab
    it works!

the pressie i got for sweetie..i spent only 10mins wrapping it.

i bought us a subtle matchy matchy couple tees from Punk Star. I love mine..off shoulder that can work as a tee & also a mini dress/tunic.

i bought him a shirt too...am glad he love it.

sweetie got me this lovely wristlet from Coach. Silly him...did the silliest things. He knew i was eyeing on a particular wristlet that only Vel know the colour i like & all. He went all ways to get hold of Vel's number while loitering around the shopping complex where he bought it, until finally he got hold of Vel (thanks to Wei Le). Turns out, the one i wanted was out of stock & so he had to bet on his gut feeling for an alternative colour. But i love it! Thanks dearie(Vel) for the suggestion & for keeping mum about the whole thing just so i could be surprise. I know its hard not to let out a word~hee!

the card i made for him...after my drinking session with my usual. so you can imagine what time i reached home & what time i started working on the card. That explain why i slept at 6am in the morning....but its all worth it!

sweetie brought out all the cards i made for him over the years...and i picked this particular card coz' i love the design inside. The exterior was kinda blunt though..

the many handmade cards i made for him...which one is your favourite?

I know i'm no A* art student..so long as he appreciate it...i'm more than contented.

    His pick? The yellow-green 21st b'day card.

My pick? The one i did till 6am in the morning.

    Happy Valentine's Day! =}

    You will be remembered

    此刻的我,心情很承重
    从朋友口中得知你的离去,
    我一时之间不知如何接受。。
    很高兴能认识你 ,遗憾的是没能多认识你一些
    我们伤心,是你不愿看到的
    但悲伤后,我们会跟积极的活下去。
    连你的分也一起过。
    安息吧,朋友。。

    Sweet Taste of Lurve~

while shopping to kill time before the movie starts, we saw this & immediately bought it.

Isn't it cute? Heart shape biscuits from BreadTalk.
We watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button & i shall blog about my review of the movie in the next post. (Chey~as if people care about my review =P)

    the 'babalicious' me & sweetie's i-was-forced-to-smile expression -_-!

wat was he thinking holding the heart upside down?!!

    finally!

    *u*

sweetie also bought the rochers for me...

a 'sweet tooth' moment for me...i cannot imagine how much fats i piled on that day..

from Long John's to Nachos to Rochers...gosh!

prissy went nude here! No~u pervs..i mean no makeup~

hope i don't scare you, yah?

My sis was browsing through my photo bank & yacks about how i did a replica version of taking pics with the rocher....

To my dearest sis: can i just say this is but a coincidence....

    Endurance Test!
    Prissy must start saving money...
Prissy should stop contributing to the retail economy the next time she shop...(but i'll be meeting my girls for shopping later?!)
Prissy must endure & curb those shoes & bags buying obsession...
    Why?
Coz prissy is going Bangkok & she wanna spend like hell & possibly bring back a truck load worth of clothes, shoes & bags!
    P.S: psst...please don't disappoint me~

    A whole lotza Abundance.Prosperity.Longevity & Happiness

What's CNY make off? A whole lots of abundance, prosperity, longevity & Happiness. That was what i gather when i attended a CNY luncheon hosted by Singapore Post (SingPost). We were treated to a whole afternoon of gd food & fun.

I tot SingPost did an excellent job in organising such events coz everything was well planned, food was great, programmes are interesting...it practically live us with no complains.

Dresscode was Cheongsum for the ladies & Changsan for gents...i wanted to go in cheongsum too but i cant find any modernized cheongsum, it was too last minute.

we were each given a bogus cash worth $1000 to change into chips. There were 3 rooms for us to gamble but i only know how to play blackjack. So i bet my luck at a game of Blackjack...not too bad, i won alittle. I ever saw the idea of having a mini casino at an exhibition. You can actually rent all the necessary equipment from them. Great idea for D&D. Imagine having a party on board a yacht & catering a mini casino for your guest...woohoo..wat a par~tey!

Anyway, the chips we won at the tables was accumulated back at our dinning table. It was used to play the Deal or No Deal game. Top 3 tables with the highest amount of chips will go up & draw a grand prize. 1st prize was SIA voucher worth $2600. Woah! i can only drool with envy la...no body at my table bother to take out the chips & count.

Then there were the usual lucky draw dip & my manager won Tangs voucher worth $50. 1st prize was a Sony Ericsson X1 worth $1k!

feeling hungry just by looking at the menu...SingPost was really generous with their food choice, yah? Dig this...Lobster Sashimi for LO Hei!!!!

    Yummylicious~

    My table's theme - Abundance

Michelle Cheong was the MC for the day. She's alot smaller in size in person..i swear! just look at the size of her face & mine! Heart shape face Vs. Pancake face..get it?! She's uber approachable & friendly. She was seated at her table & when i smiled at her while passing by, guess wat? she walked over & talk to us. thank goodness she didnt do her Barbarella Posh Beckhem impersonation thingy..so Farnee!

    Things from the goodie bag...

a photo frame & a limited addition mOo mOo stamp....love the oriental gift box too. And the red draw-string bag..cute! I'll use it to put my oranges next year. They must have put in alot of thoughts in choosing the gift.

    the personal touch SingPost added

they took our photo & print them into stamps for us. Now i can mail my letters with my face stamp on it...gosh! Was really spellbound by the whole idea. we don't even have to que to collect it..while sitting down & enjoying our lunch comfortably, Zelcy(account manager) helped us collect & pass them to us. How personal and thoughtful is that, yah?

After the luncheon, i tot for sure we got to head back to office but my executive CEO say we don't have to...okay..obey whatever the boss say! So he drop us at Vivo City & i headed for some shopaholic action. Afterwhich, met up with my sis & mummy for more shopping at FarEast then do dinner only at 9plus.

    Cheers! =)
