Goodbye Cyber Space

I never thought i say this but this will probably be my last entry. I've learned that i no longer have my say on my own blog, thanks to the unfortunate incident. It has definitely dampen my interest to blog further coz' i no longer have the freedom to speak.

So to all my frequent readers (if there is any), thanks for taking that extra time to read my uninteresting thoughts. I hope that, i have, in some ways entertained you. =)

But before i go, i thought i share some highlight moments of my life lately..

counting down to a new year..i had the best view ever!!

basically i was leading a somewhat tai tai lifestyle doing things like shopping, mani & pedicure, coffee with my kaki & &...oh..i learned to play majong too! I've already close the ugly chapter. yes, it did affect me but i've learned to let go so i can enjoy many other things. Those who still bare the grudge, must be leading a bitter life.

And i am happy to announce that i've gotten a better offer. I shall not disclose where i'll be working before someone try to sabotage me again but this job give me better prospect.

So this is it...i am not sure if i will ever start up a new blog..but i am definitely closing this blog for good.

A Lesson "Well Taught"

unfortunately i had to learn it the hard way. The results?

1. I lost a career opportunity (an opportunity to work with an amazing/ inspiring career woman),

2. wasted my time waiting for the job when i could have go for other alternative,

3. was humiliated & morale was reduced to zero!!

This morning was my first day at my new job and i was really excited to learn new things & meet new people. However, the excitement was short live. After what seem like 2hours of handover was drained down when 'Miss S' invited me to the room to deliver the bad news. I was dumbfounded, caught unaware & i tried all means to stay collected. I was anguish coz' after traveling all the way down & wasted 2 hours of my time, i was dismissed! Why won't u let me know in advance so i can save the trip? i could've very well make my time useful at home, sending resumes.

This predicament was totally unnecessary. I was told i acted unprofessionally & childish. If i was being unprofessional, i don't suppose Mr W is any better. Your agenda was clear cut. The very moment you sound the incident out to Miss S, you had every mind to crash me. You could have confronted me straight.

I am not saying i am not at fault. If you say publicizing your face and bad mouthing you on my blog was unrighteous & unprofessional, i apologize. But what happened to 'my blog, my say'? I always thought not going against you or speaking against you when i'm pissed off with you is my way of being professional. Afterall, you're my manager & knowing your character, i can never put myself to talk back to you or even shout at you in front others. Surely i had to vent my displease somewhere & many times i chose to control. But that particular day ( 22 June 09, to be exact), my anger & tolerance shot up to the peak. Trapped & nobody to turn to at that very moment, i blogged about it. I did not realized that one time turns fatal.

Why was i unhappy? I feel unappreciated that day. In fact, i struggled almost any other day. You were unaware how many times i've helped you cover up when the bosses ask about your whereabout. I know for sure you do not have morning appointment everyday & that you can only come in at 10 or 11am. I had to lie, that made me a sinner & you a saint. And let's be honest, your youtube browsing did not helped either. It has become part of your routine in the office to browse youtube while we work for you. You're unaware how disturbed i/ we felt whenever you try to share the video with us. We had to put our work on hold to accommodate you. Many times when i have doubts with work, i can never get your full attention. And the strangest & most bizarre thing was, when we surf unauthorized sites or even catch a video on youtube & you caught us doing so, you reprimand us sternly.

I recall an incident where i was watching an episode on youtube during lunch time, you were time clocking me; constantly asking 'how long more is the video'. Hello? it's my lunch time, don't i get a little leisure time? The next thing i know, he was watching some variety show on youtube. so much for being professional?

If "i am a manager, i can do whatever i want" is your way with things, i think you're not setting an example for your subordinate. There are so much more i can state, like there are times where you use office hours for your personal stuff (car shopping, sending gf/ taking care of her when she's feeling unwell....) is that what you want your subordinate to learn from you? Can we do the same or only MANAGERS get away with all this "perks"? I say, you're just abusing you authority.

I didn't want to confront you all this while coz' i want to give you the respect & i didn't want our friendship to turn sour or to jeopardize our working relationship. Afterall, you're my superior. I believe this is my way of being professional & for me to even tolerate so much, i don't consider myself childish.

Anyway, thanks for ruining the plans i had for this new job & my life. I am pretty use to you doing such thing behind my back. You had no idea, do you? Allow me to refresh your memory. Remember when i blurted out my displease with the company & that i wanna quit? I was just being spiteful coz' i was angry with you & the management for not appreciating me. I was still considering & the next thing i know, you voiced it out to Mr J. He approached me, hoping to get a reason for my tots of leaving, i sound it out to him & half way thru he had a meeting & we never spoke further. The very next thing i know, Mr E came in. I was pushed to a corner where i can't turn back. I wanted very much to stay until my bonus came, afterall i worked hard for it. let's not forget the incident where you & mr J played me out about my departing date. Whoever lied? You said it was mr J but he claimed otherwise. I was, once again humiliated. Left with no reason to stay, i left with hopes to find a new career path. And you got in the way again...

Many reprimand that i shouldn't add you on facebook. I didn't care coz' i always thought that there should be no grudges after i left the company & i do still treat you as a mentor/ friend. I didn't expect your pettiness to get in the way. Maybe i shouldn't have...

P.S: I know you will probably read this. And yes, i finally voiced out on my own blog. No point confronting each other. I just wanna let it all out here & forget about the whole incident. And rest assured that no names are mention, so i don't suppose i am being unprofessional.

So Caught Up...

with things lately, hardly had time for any R & R or some alone time. Haven't been blogging either, coz my lappy is with my guy & i don't have the time to blog either. So caught up moving, packing, unpacking & shopping for furniture lately. Neglected my friends, sweetie & my facebook..lol! But the whole moving thing kinda bonded my family closer.

So Sunday? my schedule was as such:

9am - Dim Sum with family (Celebrated Dad's belated b'day - he was so emo we forgot his)

11am - home (change & freshen up plus steal some time to rest)

2pm- photoshoot at Holland V (drop by to visit Carol & Qiu Qiu)

7pm - Ikea (furniture shopping with Mummy & Bro)

11pm - Finally reach home (unpack!!)

1am - finally revisit my bed again - snooze~

I remember vividly when Carol message me saying she needed a great model for a fashion spread

I immediately had Qiuting in mind. I frequent her blog but i am no stalker ok..i was blog browsing until one fine day i chance upon her's & after reading a few entries, i thought, she's really down to earth, despite her effortless beauty. i dropped her an email requesting her modeling service & was shock to find her really easy going.

I think she's a fun person to be with & she immediately switch into her poses without us giving her much direction.

She's a professional.

Moving On~

Alright, let's see:

1. I'll be moving in a week's time, to a place, a neighborhood totally foreign to me.

2. I'll be jobless by end November...so yeah, i'll be a bummer!

3. Boyfriend is entering into the working society while i go back & become a full time student.

I am at a point of time where changes seem inevitable. Forcing myself to adapt is no easy task. As much as i wanna show that tough cookie exterior, beneath it all, i actually feel vulnerable.

I am afraid of changing & i dread changes!

Aunty Lucy Movie Screening & Press Conference:

Was invited to join the rest of the sponsors to the event organized by Scorpio East. We were treated to a free screening of Zhou Chong Ching's tele-movie which was superbly hilarious, i must say. Sponsors of the show definitely find their product overly exposed in it, money well spent!

met him in person, really down to earth despite his popularity as aunty lucy.
Was kinda disappointed when i saw him dressing as himself instead of playing aunty lucy.

Last night my bro & i had the most ideal set of diet dinner. We had minestrone soup & chinese herbal chicken! i whipped up the soup in less than 10mins, thanks to cambelle & bought the chicken at the nearby foodcourt. We settled in front of the tv & nom nom nom our way to a healty living.

Never thought chinese & western food make such great fusion. It was like what my bro commented "an intoxicated blend". No idea why "intoxicated" is use as an adjective here. Apparently, the word "intoxicated" has been in his frequent vocabulary lately. I suppose it is his brain that has been intoxicated.

Chanel show in Paris!! How i wish i was there. The entire show was set in a somewhat country-like atmosphere, launching the neutral hue collection. I always feel that Chanel is a class of it's own and what is there not to love about the brand? Probably the price tag? I beg to differ. I always believe that quality & class comes with high cost, so owning a Chanel is worth every penny we slog hard for.

So i was bored one fine day (after clearing my work, blog surfing, reading up, twittering & youtubing), i googled the ladies online games & found some really interesting fashion game site. I don't know about others, but i am soooo drawn to it. Highly addictive! I lost count how many birthdays we celebrated together. Is that good or bad? I guess it doesn't matter much to me coz' i want to celebrate every single birthday (both yours & mine) with you. I had a lot in store for his birthday like dinner at the jewel box or dempsey hills then chill out at some live band bars. Instead we opted for a rather simple alternative & had sushi at our favorite restaurant in AMK. Apparently, he did not have a good night rest the day before; claiming that my snoring kept him up the entire night. I would like to deny this profusely. Ok! I did..but for merely 5 mins. I was woken up by my own snore, it was that loud.

Anyway, after he left for work i went home to change & headed down to tpy to get the ingredients for the cake. I spent the next 1 hour searching for his gift. I wanted to get him the Nokia E73 phone but i find myself whining up in some dramatic problems. I gave the idea a halt & headed home to start on the cake. I baked him a cheese & brownie layered cake. I was 100% pleased with the outlook of the cake but the taste..hmm...I shall let it linger..

A Moment of Silence

The news struck me in the most uncertain way. I wasn't even prepared for this. When i saw your face on the newspaper, the word "drowned" punched right through my heart & my body went cold.
I was lost for words. Flashes of memories we once shared engulfed my head & i was glad that once in our life, we actually cross path. I recalled those days where we stayed behind after school to rehearse for our cheer leading competition. You were always looking out for us, making sure we were not hurt during the routine.

You were always so thoughtful & that's the most attractive attributes of yours. You were so full of life & you barely started yours but the cruel reality took you away. Your sudden departure left us all heart wrecked.

I miss all the fun we had, those conversation we made & those laughter we shared. We are sad, we are mourning in pain but rest assured that when we dry up our tears & get back with our lives, you will still be remembered.

Rest in peace my dear friend...we miss you dearly!

Knock off at 5pm today. After what seem like a whole day of standing, did not dampen my mood to shop. So i decided to give ION another try. My first visit was with sweetie & we were pretty disappointed coz' there isn't much things to shop around; mostly high end shops. But a fren told me that ION is as big as VivoCity. I was clueless.

So i was there, shopping around in my killer heels & am amazed to discover hidden shops all around. If only we explore, we would have found so many other amazing shops within ION. I believe it adapted the same shopping mall concept as Taka. The high end shops are located at the upper level & the more affordable shops are all located within B1 & 2.

And when it's time to feed the hungry soul, i had my mind set on some soupy noodles & came to found this really nice Taiwanese Style Beef Noodle. It's not exactly a restaurant, but it feels more like a mini eating house, located in B1. I was simply smitten by the tender beef. Simply divine!

Congrats to the newly weds, they look soooo happy together. The wedding was held in Holiday Inn Atrium &was there earlier to help Vel with her hair & make-up. Apparently, the make-up artist wanna charge her $10 just to stick her fake eye lash. Is that extortion or what? We were all preparing in Shiyi's luxurious suite.

Nothing beats a simple meal outside. At Thomson, we were spoilt by the countless choice of good food. In the end, we settled for some kampong chicken rice (which is not cheap, i must say) & strawberry strudel at Ritz. I favor strawberry strudel over the apple one coz' i think the latter is too sweet for my liking.

I've been fashion blog surfing for quite a bit & saw some really interesting dressing style. The sudden overnight stay at your boyfriend's place left with you with nothing to wear to work the next day? Introducing the boyfriend's style....

Not difficult to put up with, i'll pair them with a black stocking/leggings & probably steal my guy's belt over it.
Then slip on a pair of boots or heel or even flats.

Pair them with basics & jeans for a more casual look or for formal/ office wear, over a mini dress which should be slightly above the dress length or on level with it..anything else just screams unproportionate.

we don't exactly have to wear our boyfriend's pair of jeans. I, for one, can never fit into my guy's jeans coz' they are too long & big. I would if i have the height & physique like Katie Holmes.
'Cotton On' has one of those boyfriend's jeans that are slim around the thigh & rear area (to accentuate the feminine curves) & slightly loose at the bottom of the jeans where you fold one or two length up to exude that cuffed jeans look. Sleek!
Pair them with a simple basic top & ankle boots.
For an edgier look, go for washed & rugged out jeans...

Finally ended my roadshow at Suntec. Now am back stuck in the office..feels more like a trench hole to me. Anyway, it's my 2nd year running this rdshow & i enjoyed it. It's always fun having roadshow at suntec, though standing for hours can be quite agonizing. Somehow, this year's crowd subsided quite a bit..could it be the awful economy? Saturday:

Sweetie wanted to have steamboat & for the first time in many many years, he asked if my friend wanna join us too. Sadly they've other commitments. In the end, we had our romantic candlelit steamboat dinner at Liang Seah st. We went to the one opposite shaw. Price there is rather steep compare to other steamboat shops around the corner but it's definately worth every penny. Coz' it's just the 2 of us, we waited for awhile before getting a smaller table. I was really hungry so i was pissed i had to wait soooo long (actually its bearly 15mins..haha!). sweetie had to pacify me & he tried very hard to make me understand that evey other tables are huge tables that can seat more than 4 & if we were to take that big table they will run a lost of revenue. Seriously, i don't give a damn about their earnings but becoz' sweetie was trying real hard to appease me, i shut my gap up.

we finally got a table inside the shop with air-con..thank god for that! Half way through our meal, the sky started pouring heavily. And guess what? The steamboat shop (Tian Tian Huo Gou Dian) opposite ours had no shelter & customers were all running in for shelter. And their food? Left drenched in the rain..
Boy..were we lucky to have it in an air-con room.

After dinner, we went over to parco hoping to take some neo prints. It's been some time since we last had one taken. Sadly, we were too late. But there are some shops that are still open so i did alittle shopping & got myself a watch.

we had ampang yong tau fu for lunch...after lunch, my manager thought we should relaxed a little before we head back to that dreadful place..so he drove us to the nearby reservoir park to chill & get some fresh air...coz' seriously, the air within my work place suck! we strolled a little & saw some cute but awfully shy monkeys hanging around. we were somewhat sweating under that scorching sun but the sky above look so clear..it's picture perfect~

Last week was....

a busy yet fruitful week for me. Had 2 photoshoots to do & i managed to squeeze some time out to meet up with an old friend & spent some quality time with me hunny bun.

Friday

After the photoshoot ended, i headed down to CityHall, met up with an old friend of mine whom i have lost contact with for a very long time. Thanks to FB, we got in touch again. We caught up & reminisce about the past over pizza & calamari. Dinning over at chijmes never fails us but i must say the services at Pizzeria Giardino kinda disappointed us. We waited too long for the pizza..20mins, i think?! Well..a lot have changed..as we spoke, we realised we were leading very different lifestyles. of coz' there were some awkward moments where we both kept quiet..but i must say catching up with her was great..& i do hope to do this again some time.

my guy & i did dinner at Ichiban Boshi (esplanade) before our movie. We caught Transformer & guess what? All the other earlier slots were fully booked & we had to settle for a 12.20am time slot...yawnzzz! We caught a glimpse of fireworks while having dinner, which was unexpected. I wanted to snap a few pics buttttttttt...my camera died on me again. When i told him i wanted to go get battries earlier on, he gave me that 'must-we-do-this' kinda stare. Grrrr! Fine! My guy is not a fan of photo-taking..hence, the lack of enthusiasm..

After dinner, we had a little time to shop before all the shop closes. I headed straight to topshop. Nothing impress me..but strangely, something caught my guy's eye...

he saw this really pretty ring that he thought it will go so well with what i was wearing that day. He showed me & asked if i like it..I LOVE IT. He got it for me straight..it was so random, i swear!

what do you do when you're all alone at home & extremely bored on a Wednesday night? When finance run dry & friends are nowhere to be found? Sounds pathetic, i know..i would soooo love to head down to butter now..

1. I did the unexpected. I revamped my wardrobe, took out some basic, mix & match them to create a whole new look.

The basic includes:

1. Lacey Tunic - I meant to wear it as a petticoat under sheer dresses but never got the chance to..

2. White Tank Top - love it. it matches almost anything from skirt, shorts, jeans; depending on what kinda look you wanna channel..

3. Bandage Skirt - i really think it's a clever invention..

4. High Waisted Belt - i love my studded belt, pair it with over-sized tops or dress & i'm good to go..

so with the essential, i assemble 2 looks that are versatile to wear..

Look no. 1 gives off a very feminine vibe..pair it with a blazer & it will work well as an office wear
which is chick & out of norm..

Look no. 2 portrays a more avantgarde feel..perfect ensemble for clubbing nights

2. I dug through my wardrobe & found the straw hat i bought for the Bintan trip last year..
& decided to have fun with it..insane madness~

It finally dawn on me that i don't actually belong to this company at all. I tried to be nice to everyone here but somehow they show no mutual respect. some examples to quote:

1. I got my new phone & was hoping that one of my colleague would help me configure the connection. She did & i was really grateful for that. HOWEVER...the connection was one of those weak connection which denied my access to FB & MSN. Then for FUCK i want the connection for? When i asked again nicely, she brushed it off with "hahahah...see first". FUCK You Bitch! I don't see a need to beg..i rather succumb to my fate.

2. this morning another colleague of mine came into the room & rub salt onto my wound like nobody's business.
"Priscilla~are u aware that everyone else has got their new flat screen LCD monitor but you..now they are thinking of how to refurnish the table now that they've so much space on their table."
She added: " Oh yeah...you don't have to worry if your bulky monitor go faulty coz now we have so many spare old ones for you to change. (pointing towards the old bulky monitors on the floor)
Hey Bitch..for your info, i dont see a need for a LCD monitor coz' firstly unlike you, i am not in the office most of the time & 2ndly, i dont forsee myself staying in this company for long.

I was told that i appeared on CNA's news regarding the recent swine flu outbreak...scene was taken from the airport.

ok..

Firstly: I did not travel since March..so wat the hell am i doing at the airport?!

Secondly: Who the hell is that lady beside?

thirdly: i will never be seen dressing like this...not quite my style la.

Last But Not Least....

Of all the time, i chose to fall sick amidst exam period..great! Had some kinda infection since tuesday which gave me a fever so my guy took me to the doc on wednesday night. I had mc the next day, so the boyfriend took leave to accompany & took care of me..hee..i'm blessed! And i thought i could be spared from work, but no! I was bombarded by incoming calls from the office bugging me over some artwork & stuff, some were already due. Well, it's not like i'm not doing my job, in fact i always make sure i complete what was designated to me before deadline.

So who's fault, you might ask...

The answer? The management. See, if you disseminate a job to your staff, you jolly well go through everything, leaving no details behind. Things like deadline is one crucial element not to be missed out on. And you don't just shove last minute things to your stuff & expect things to be done when YOU don't give a due date. I, for instance, will automatically think that it has a deadline of about 2 weeks & i'll task on the more important stuff first.

Oh well...i was compel to work from home. Maybe my infection came at the right time, it left me no choice but to stick my butt at home & mug for my paper. One last paper to go till i graduate..but like what the title above suggest, 'not the least...'

I never knew how powerful a comment i made will be, until today. I see a fresh looking Mr Jim grinning from ear to ear, and i was wondering 'why that smirk?' After some recollection, i finally realised why...its the comment i made on him yesterday!

Of late, Mr Jim have been coming in the office looking restless & disorganised. He came in with un-gel hair which almost look un-comb & an unshaven face. I can't help but wonder if he's trying to channel a grunge look. He has his leather jacket & boots to testify.

Paul was as equally puzzled as i was so he had to open up & ask.

Paul: Mr Jim, are you trying on a new look lately?
Mr Jim: No, not that i know of..why?
Paul: Pris thought you look a little untidy with that hairstyle of yours (I did not say UNTIDY!)

Had a short weekend again...darn tired! was at the Mini Cooper showroom last saturday for a function organised by AsiaOne. its a amazing-race like competition, where contestants drive the mini cooper(yeah..i know..how luck,yah?) around sg to complete their designated task. we came in as a sponsor, so we were just there to enjoy & maneuver around. we had loads of fun snapping & actually sit in almost all the mini cooper in the showroom, too bad momo couldnt join us.

Bangkok Trip Day 4 - Last Day~

our last shopping destination: Chatchuchak market, i assure you its a must-go place to shop~things there are relatively cheap. shops are packed closely to each other, very much flooded with people. extremely chic fashion there..things you will see in Far East, except cheaper! this is the place where most online shops get their supplies from.

Baby & i put our bartering skills to good use here & wasted no time..we totally exhausted our funds there lah~

Things didn't end too well, though..we had a little tiff on our way back...but i guess arguments are inevitable when u're travelling, yah? "why are u so upset? we've been happy this past few days.." sweetie said that...
