On The 6th Day of CNY~

I won a $30 NTUC voucher during my company's lucky draw. Time for some grocery shopping at NTUC! I actually love grocery shopping at supermarkets..the bigger the better. I like the thought of having a variety of things to see & choose.

We went grocery shopping with JS today...i used the voucher & whipped up a scrumptious meal for the Wee brothers & JS. I didn't snap any picture of the dishes i made coz was too hungry after all the cooking(in short - i couldnt be bothered!)

But i shall not claim all the credit here...sweetie & JS helped out too. Sweetie did wat he called the 'op prep' some army lingo/term while JS did some of the cooking & stirring. Credit to JS coz' he helped out more, he's just a guest who dropped by for dinner though. And he can cook!

Random Night-out~

Random snap shot of us preparing for the night out

Another friday night....where to? Looks like a night out with my sweetie,yah? Nah...did the usual drinking session with the usual clique at our usual hide-out. Me & sweetie went on separate ways to party...he clubs while i pub. Was kinda reluctant to go at first coz' i have tons of studying to do & the fact that everyone else are bringing their fren puts me off a little. Didn't drink much anyway...Vel's guy was soooooooooooo in the mood for some red wine so we ordered a bottle to share btw us..the rest of them had beer. I don't do beer so i didnt have any....oh..maybe just one or two sip sip..cant recall. Vel left early coz her guy wasnt feeling too good..he's been sick for a few days...poor him! So was left alone with carol & her cliques but they didnt make me feel a wee bit out of place la...carol dearie was with me the whole time making sure i wasnt bored. Hee....
we mingled till about 3am & baby called to say that his on his way home.
He was totally bored stiff at phuture..coz it was jam pack.
Carol's guy was sweet enough to send me all the way to sweetie's place.

Sweetie waited for me by the road near his place...and boy was i glad to see him!

Moo Moo Greetings!

Boy~am i psych that this year is the MOo MOo year. Coz' i have an unspoken affection for cows. But its not any cow that i fancy..i am talking about white cows with black spots..they're the cutest! Aside being so incredibly adorable, i find myself affiliated to the species. See..i'm a tarus who posses a cow attitude. I have what they call the '牛脾气' & am as stubborn as a bull.

That is what was labelled on me by many...= /

And did i mention i have a moutain load of stuffed black-white cows at home given by sweetie & my other dearies,

& my mummy dearest is dy~ing to throw them all out to free out some storage space

Denied Accesssss.....

Dig this...our company has recently decided to deny us from using Facebook without warning. Great! Now my only diversion from the mundane work load was taken away from me...

No msn..no friendster..no photobucket...no FACEBOOK! They might as well tie me to my chair & make me work non-stop. I can do away with no msn, no friendster but i cant do without facebk! omg! its an addiction (self-confess) i cant forgo. I'm hardly at home & when i'm finally home at night, i'll be too lazy to start-up my lappy which leaves me very little chance to access FB.

Actually i see no point in denying us the access...but of coz the management will think otherwise. As if our work load isn't bad/stressful enough, yah? how much can u deny us from? No msn? its fine with us coz' we have so many other ways to get connected to our social peeps.

So thanks for the unnecessary...really!

When office politics threaten your stay in the company....

you either resign or stay & brood over it! Its scary how office politics like random grapevine threatens you & your position in the company, yah? How all this chitty-chatty gossip hurt someone so bad that they have to result to leaving when our ultimate motive to work is to earn a living. The atmosphere hovering around my small company feels like as though i'm in the war zone or like the mayhem in Bangkok. People here form alliances in which they know will benefit them. Then they go against their enemies by inflicting psychological & emotional pain on them.

It really depends on how u look at things. You can choose to be ignorant about the whole thing & keep low key the whole time. I've only been in this company for half a year but it look as though i've experienced all this shit. Nah~i'm not talking about myself here, speaking for a colleague of mine. I've had some hostile treatment myself too but i choose to remain nonchalant. If they wanna talk behind my back, go ahead! I really dun give a shit about it coz' my stay here is to work for an income & gain the experience i needed...then i jet off to another company. Sadly, he/she doesn't see the point..
Quote: "i'm resigning b'coz nobody here like me, they all hate me & are against me"
And how many have we hear things like 'i can't talk to u coz u & so-&-so are close/a team'?sounds familiar? coz' that is what we used to do when we're 10! 'don't friend her hor, she & jane best friend..i don't like Jane!'

Prissy's way to stay peace & calm in the company:
1. Remain as low profile as possible, don't go rowdy or beyond the top..chances are co-workers will brand you as 'irritant' and find you a nuisance.
2. Be nice to everyone..by this i don't mean sucking up to them. Just avoid stepping on other ppl's toe & treat everyone fairly.
3. socialise with everyone but pleasssssse don't fake it! don't just befriend with those you like..avoid showing prejudice.
4. Know your purpose working in the company. To earn a living or to gain value experience? Focus on it!

of coz' i don't know how much these will help or have help me pull through working in such an intimidating company. It depends a lot on the individual. But then again, its impossible to get everyone to like you...this is how the society work..isn't it?

Bintan Essssscapade~

I know its really back-dated but no choice, been a busy bee lately. Had a little getaway with sweetie to Bintan...we really needed the retreat to rejuvenate before a new year start. Our initial plan was to go Bangkok but he is worried that all the mayhem in Thailand may toy on us.

Things in Bintan are really expensive. y? coz' they know that we're pretty much confined in the small island without much to do and coz' travellers who are there are either ang-mohs or Singaporeans. What a strategic way to 'tock' our money. My advise to anyone going there :"Don't bother changing rupiah" coz as far as i know, rupiah in Bintan is pretty redundant. Furthermore, coz' things are soooooooo expensive, u'll end up forking out rupiah in million dollars denomination. Sweetie and I converted SGD$200 to rupiah only to find ourselves using our unconverted sgd$$ more...*#&%(^%(#!

But the overall experience was great! The trip really relaxes us from the mundane work life. Everyday we're greeted by excellent & well-mannered services from the staff in the hotel and every where else. I feel sooo welcomed the moment i set my foot in the hotel. Also, i find the hotel really thoughtful..see we're strolling at the beach barefooted & unknowingly stepped on some black tars that were impossible to remove with pure water. We thought, shit..this will stay but later we found out that the hotel actually prepare bottles of thinner for their guest at the poolside. They even have remedies to cure/soothe jellyfish sting. How thoughtful,yah?

More Excuse to Shop!

yes..like the title imply...cny is near the corner & it gives us more excuse to shop. yeah! =)
Like i say before i need to revamp my wardrobe, i have too many black, white, grey, dark brown, & dull blue. Its about time i get some colours for my wardrobe. I'm into pastel pink lately...its so girly. Also, i am sort of channeling myself towards a more girly/lady-like dress sense. By that i mean, lacey (tasteful amount of it - not too much), chiffon, ribbons, sheer, floral, beadings.....but i still love classic pieces. Some lovely pieces i found online....

i love the color!

i am desperately looking for a blazer like this...above waist and skinny cut..classic!

Busy Bee

Prissy will be busy the whole weekend running a wedding roadshow at clark quay. I was there for the setup earlier with an empty stomach but the elegant dreamy ambience made me forget how hungry i was.

Finally after the setup, i recollect how hungry i actucally was and hurried to the nearest foodcourt i can find, which was obviously the Central Mall. But i didn't manage to have a peaceful lunch, i find myself coordinating a ad artwork while slurping on my tempura curry udon. tsk! disturb! My current ad agency have been giving me alot of problem lately. I have absolutely no problem liaising with my previous one. I find it so fugging difficult to communicate with the person-in-charge from my current ad agency, its like he never stop talking & never bother to listen to me! So what if you can give me higher percentage discount. Screw that 13%! He's always telling me 'NO' and doesnt really fullfill my requirements. Helloo?! Who's paying who now? uber inflexible fellow. Its not like i'm giving him skyhigh demands..please!

After all the screaming & uproar, i didn't have much appetite left. So i walked away for some shopping therapy at Central Mall. Met up with mummy dearest to help her shop for her CNY clothes. Its been some time since i spend quality time with her. I was extremely tired when i got home but still find some time to camwhore..heheh! I think "He" (inflexible ad agent) exhausted most of my energy during the unpleasant coordination with him. Apparently, even some of the advertising sales manager from Mediacorp dislike him. Quote:"oh~Teo ah, i know he very loh-soh, always don't let you speak just yack & yack only...can't stand him!" What a reputation to live up to, God!

What's Wrong With You???

Arrrrgh....i don't know what is wrong with my fugging blog again. Apparently...now i can't view my complete blog in IE(Internet Explorer) but it can be viewed perfectly using Morzilla. What i can see on my blog is just a stupid entry and the rest of my links are gone!!! Wait...so is IE faulty or my blog? Can anyone please explain why this is happening? Its pissing me off...one minute it is working and the next? Is not! And and...i can't even see my Cbox. Great! What a way to start the New Year! =/

Bring On 2009

On this very last day of 2008, i thought to myself..enough is enough! The old & outta fashion ones have to go...the good & ever fashionable/wearable ones are here to stay...& bring on the new & avantgarde lovelies! I was sneezing & sweating away, trying to revamp my wardrobe space. I did a fair bit of trashing but still find my wardrobe fully pack with clothes...i still have a whole load of clothes washing.
Anyway, as we say goodbye to 2 00 8..we ought to do some reflection,yah? It is not a fantastic year for me...i went thru some of the toughest time, lotza setbacks. I encountered things that have never occur to me and had to learn things the hard way. But i guess these are what made us grow as an individual, be it in life, relationship, family or work. 2 00 8 isn't a good year for the world either..we went thru a series of turmoil and uproar that struck us when we were unaware. I'm glad that it is coming to an end...i truly hope that we can embrace a new year with an empty heart. With all the packing & trashing, I'm all set to embark 2009 with a bang!
Resolution? Prissy say screw the resolution shit...coz we know for sure that they will never be fulfilled. I would rather i live my life whatever way i want, mend them if need be and learn when i stumble.
